A couple Saturdays ago we were over to Phil's sisters house for dinner. Mike made us some really yummy Greek food. It was our first time ever having Greek food and it was delicious! We always enjoy Mike's cooking, but really love when we get to try something new.
That next Monday I watched Phil's brothers kids all day. Erica was out of town and Ryan had to work, so I took the 4 kids. It was fun having them around and the kids played very well together. We played outside and in the water all afternoon. Piper is such a funny kid! She likes to eat dirt/sand/mud! No matter how many times we tell her no and say yucky...it always ends up in her mouth by the handfuls. It's so gross!!!! I can't get her to stop. Any suggestions?

Phil got home from work around 3 and Ryan got home shortly after that. We had them over for dinner and they stayed for a while so we could play Halo. It's been fun hanging out with them and we are looking forward to our next get together!
This past weekend we went down to Payson for the weekend. Our really close friends Wes & Abby recently moved there{it's a little over an hour away}. We decided to make a weekend out of it. So we drove down Friday night and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner since we were fairly close to it. Stayed up watching some shows that night. Woke up and got ready to drive another hour away to about Delta....Wesley's sister lives out there on a farm. The kids were really excited when we told them we were going to go see some animals. The first thing they got to see were 7, 7 week old puppies!
The puppies loved shoelaces and would chase after you and play tug of war with your laces. It was pretty cute. Ryder loved having the pups chase him around.
Piper thought they were cute and thought she liked having them chase her....
but quickly changed her mind and wanted to be held. She didn't like them jumping up on her.
Cambria was IN LOVE with the pups!!! She could sit and hold them all day long. We thought we were in trouble when she named this one Kally.
They had a big front and side yard that the puppies were in and then you go through a gate to a play area and then go through another gate to go down the side of the mountain a little to were all the big farm animals are. Here are the kids waiting at the fence.

Cambria was excited to see all the animals, but once we got down there she was a little stay off-ish and didn't want to get very close. Ryder on the hand, jumped right in and started getting friendly.

Stopped at the barn to see the mommy cow & Piper noticed she had a fly hanging around on her arm and couldn't figure out what it was or why it was there. She thought it was kinda funny though.
Next it was off to see the horses and other cows. Ryder found some twine on the ground and picked it up and started swinging it around. He was thrilled when we didn't tell him to put it down. We have had a problem with him and ropes lately at home and have hid them all our house. He enjoyed his freedom for the afternoon.

Time to ride the horses! Ryder couldn't wait to get on! We tried to set Piper up there but she freaked and Cambria didn't want to do it.
Ryder hoped off for a minute so they could get a rope to take him on a short walk. I love these pictures of Cambria & Phil watching the horses.
Right after they got the horse out it stopped and started eating from a tree, so Ryder hoped down for a few minutes. While he was waiting a train drove by and was honking it's horn. It goes right in front of their house, so it was pretty loud.

Then stopped to feed it.

Even got Cami to feed it once or twice. She would kind of hold it out and then let go as fast as she could as soon as the horse grabbed it.
Piper thought she was going to crawl off the bridge and go into the irrigation canal. I didn't notice as I was taking the picture, but right after that Abby told me that Piper had a fly on her nose. You might be able to see it if you look hard enough. They sure did like her.

Went back to the house for some BBQ and then chilled on the porch for a little with the pups again.
Ryder took the puppies on the little tractor with him. Heaven!

Piper finally got to hold one for a few seconds. As soon as they would come towards her face she would freak out.
She still loved watching them and playing with them though.
They had so much fun on the farm!! Thanks again for letting us come and for sharing your animals with us. When we got back to Wes and Abby's the kids ran through the sprinklers for a little, then we ordered pizza and hangout for a little. Watched a few shows again that night and then stayed for a few hours Sunday morning playing some games. It was a great trip and we are so glad that we got to go!!! Thanks for having us guys!
