Cali- Sept 6th & 7th

Once again the photos are out of order...not sure why they are uploading that way. But by Thursday we were mostly feeling better and decided to venture out of the house again. We drove down to Mission Beach to walk the shops and let the kids ride a few rides. Most of the rides they were too small for still, but there were a few they could go on. Cami was scared to ride the spinning one, but Ryder was up for it....that was, until it started and he realized what he had got himself into. He wanted off right after it started, but I bet you anything he'd go on it again. It was hilarious to see his face and hear Austin laughing at him. They had a lot of fun on the other rides that were more calm and just right for them. On our way home we picked up Pick Up Stix...pretty good food! Then it was off to the beach for the last time. Dad even got in the water to boogie board and caught a few waves. The kids fed the seagulls some bread we had leftover. Piper made herself right at home in the middle of the group and loved that they would come right up to her to eat the bread. Austin and Cody would throw the bread in the air and they would fly up to catch it. Cody had one that circled around in the air a few times and caught all of them that he would throw...that was pretty cool. We stayed up playing games that night and laughing with everyone. The next morning we packed and cleaned up and then took a walk down the pier before saying our final goodbyes to everyone. Wednesday or Thursday night we went down by the pier and tried to start a fire to make S'more's. We had the fire lit long enough to make each of the kids a S'more, then it went out and we had to head home. We had a lot of fun with the family and it was a beautiful beach house that we stayed in and we hope to visit again. It wasn't fun being sick and my poor ankles got so swollen while we were there, but other than that it was a blast!
